2. About the Opportunity:

The Sr. AI/ML Engineer - Java Background role involves designing, developing, and deploying scalable healthcare solutions using modern Java/Spring Boot microservices and AI technologies. The position contributes to advancing healthcare delivery by creating interoperable, automated systems that improve processes in prior authorization, claims, eligibility, and provider data domains.

3. Responsibilities:

• Design and implement AI-powered solutions addressing complex business challenges with responsible AI use
• Utilize enterprise AI tools to enhance workflows and automate tasks
• Monitor emerging trends to guide innovation and solution design
• Develop and maintain enterprise RESTful APIs and microservices using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot
• Implement healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 FHIR and Da Vinci Implementation Guides
• Build event-driven backend components using Apache Kafka and integrate with relational databases
• Support CI/CD automation, containerization, and cloud deployment strategies using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
• Establish monitoring, logging, and performance observability across distributed systems

4. Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering with microservices and RESTful APIs using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot
• At least 3 years experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) using Spring Data JPA or Hibernate
• Minimum 2 years working with enterprise AI tools and AI solution components
• At least 2 years experience with event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka
• Experience deploying applications in cloud environments (AWS or Azure) using Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools such as Git/GitHub
• Preferred: Bachelor’’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
• Preferred: Experience with healthcare interoperability standards and domain knowledge in healthcare operations
• Preferred: Knowledge of API security protocols such as OAuth 2.0 and JWT

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Salary range: $120,100 to $214,500 annually based on full-time employment
• Compensation considers factors including local labor market, education, experience, and certifications
