Responsibilities
Specialist Software Engineer - Automation Tester
- Collaborate with the existing QA members to set automation standards and best practices within the team.
- Identify opportunities and drive the implementation of automation to improve service health, manageability, and reliability.
- Develop Automation Frameworks, evaluate toolsets, suggest application specific solutions.
- Perform Performance Testing using a variety of toolsets.
- Responsible to create, update, execute automation tests using Jira Zephyr.
- Responsible to understand the application functionality and create test scenarios based on them.
- Responsible to create test scripts from uses cases/requirement.
- Responsible to Analyze the defects, communicate and follow them to closure.
- Responsible to maintain the test suites based on various application releases.
- Responsible to research and constantly improve the Automation frameworks.
- Responsible to follow automation best practices.
As an Individual Contributor-
- Qualification - BE / B.Tech / MCA in Computer Science, Electronics or Electrical Engineering with an excellent academic track record
- 6 - 10 years of experience in Software Testing with Hands on experience in Test Automation
- Experienced with Jenkins, GIT & API Testing.
- Experienced with Performance Testing open-source automation tools.
- Agile and Scrum experience.
- Experience in building functional test cases based on the requirement.
- Aspiration to learn and acquire Functional knowledge on the applications that we work on.
- Basic knowledge on Derivatives.
- Ability to understand the requirements and convert them to test cases.
- Good Analytical and Problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge on various test case design techniques and testing methodologies
Good to have:
- Experience in Investment Banking sector
- Knowledge on Agile development methodologies, and exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins
- Good Communication skills
- Experience on Test Management tool-JIRA ZEPHYR
- Database skills (PostgreSQL, MySQL & SQL server)
- Exposure to Python, Shell scripting will be a plus.
