Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly web applications using JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js for front-end interfaces.
• Design and implement scalable back-end systems with Ruby on Rails, Java, or Python, ensuring efficient data processing and system reliability.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs to enable seamless communication between client-side applications and server-side services.
• Architect system designs that prioritize scalability, security (including RBAC—Role-Based Access Control), and maintainability within cloud infrastructure environments like AWS.
• Collaborate within Agile teams to plan sprints, review code, conduct testing, and deploy updates using CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub, GitLab, or SVN.
• Integrate various APIs and third-party services to enhance application functionality while adhering to design patterns for robust software engineering.
• Participate in system design discussions focusing on microservices architecture, scalability strategies, and performance optimization for large-scale deployments.

Experience

• Proven experience in full stack web development with a strong portfolio of projects demonstrating proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (React, Express) and server-side languages (Java, Python).
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure concepts including cloud infrastructure (AWS), Linux environments, and network security principles.
• Hands-on experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum to deliver iterative improvements efficiently.
• Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub or SVN for collaborative code management.
• Knowledge of database management using SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL; experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.
• Strong grasp of RESTful API design, system architecture principles including microservices patterns, and scalability best practices.
• Background in software engineering disciplines including software design patterns, system design for system development, and application development lifecycle management.

Pay: $131,901.88 - $158,849.56 per year
