Remote, part-time work for family lawyers who are current AAML fellows and trained at large firms. Your case judgment goes into a project that improves how AI systems reason about divorce, custody and marital agreements. No AI experience is required.
What you will do
• Work through real-world matters, statutes and precedent in family law and turn them into accurate, structured insight for model training
• Research questions and write tight summaries and notes on the cases you review
• Mark up and annotate the documents of the practice: custody arrangements, dissolution orders, prenups and similar
• Pull out the central issues, the arguments on each side and the reasoning that decided them
• Deliver on schedule with a distributed team, using ordinary online project tools
• Adjust as the project’s needs change
What we need
• Family-law expertise built at a leading large firm
• Current AAML membership
• Strong research and writing ability in this specific practice area
• You can make a subtle legal point understandable, on paper and out loud
• Careful, critical reading of long and complex documents
• Organised, proactive and comfortable juggling several deliverables
• Sound legal judgment; earlier work on unconventional projects is welcome
