Senior AI & Transformation Engineer - Permanent - NJ/NYC

Proclinical is partnering with a growing pharmaceutical organization seeking a Senior AI Solutions Engineer to help drive AI transformation across the business.

This is a high-impact role combining hands-on AI engineering with strategy, business transformation and stakeholder leadership.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will identify where AI can create meaningful value, guide teams on the right solutions, and personally lead more advanced AI initiatives from concept through production.

Skills & Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience across software engineering, AI development or technology consulting
• 3+ years building GenAI / LLM-based solutions
• Strong hands-on Python skills
• Experience with RAG, prompt engineering, agentic AI and multi-agent system
• Proven experience deploying AI solutions into production environments
• Experience leading complex technical projects and working with senior business stakeholders
• Strong understanding of software engineering practices including version control, CI/CD, testing and containerization
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience within consulting, regulated industries, AI enablement/training, MLOps or enterprise infrastructure would be advantageous.

The Senior AI & Transformation Engineer’s responsibilities will be:

• Lead AI initiatives across multiple business functions, from intake and scoping through implementation and adoption
• Design and deliver GenAI solutions including LLM applications, RAG pipelines, agentic AI systems and multi-agent workflows
• Partner with business leaders, IT and technical teams to identify and prioritize high-value AI use cases
• Define technical architecture and guide solutions through to production
• Enable non-technical teams to effectively use conversational AI, custom assistants and low/no-code AI tools
• Review AI solutions for quality, scalability and production readiness
• Help drive broader AI adoption and transformation across the organization
