Responsibilities
- Design and build integration test frameworks in Go and/or Python that validate interactions across backend microservices – including order management, trade execution, wallet, market data, and settlement services.
- Build integration and end-to-end tests for the React web trading platform, covering critical user journeys such as placing orders, managing portfolios, and viewing market data.
- Own test pipeline stages in Azure Pipelines; define quality gates that block releases when integration or E2E tests fail.
- Create test data strategies and environment tooling for realistic exchange scenarios including multi-service flows, partial fills, and cross-service state consistency.
- Drive performance and load testing for backend services using k6 or JMeter; define and track SLOs for critical trading flows.
- Collaborate with backend and frontend engineers on API contracts, integration points, and release readiness; document coverage gaps.
- Investigate production failures, reproduce defects in test environments, and contribute actionable findings to post-mortems.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong programming skills in Go and/or Python; able to write clean, maintainable test code at production quality.
- Hands-on experience with API integration testing across microservice architectures (REST, gRPC, event-driven).
- Experience with web E2E automation tools such as Playwright or Cypress for testing React applications.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Azure Pipelines, and test environment management.
- Performance and load testing experience (k6, JMeter, or Gatling) with the ability to analyse and act on results.
- Strong quality mindset; clear communicator and collaborator.
Experience Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in SDET, QA automation, or test engineering roles.
- Prior experience testing crypto exchanges, web3 platforms, onramp/offramp services – this is a mandatory requirement

- Exposure to Azure Pipelines, Azure Test Plans, New Relic, and feature flagging tools.
- Understanding of financial transaction correctness, audit requirements, and cross-service consistency.
