Software Engineer 2

Job Summary

We are looking for Software Engineer II to join our Application Development team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, developing, and deploying scalable, high-performance, and resilient applications that power our core business. You will contribute across the full stack, working with modern front-end frameworks, robust backend services, cloud-native AWS infrastructure, and relational databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and services using React
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and company and industry standards.
• Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and learning from peers.
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues, assessing issues in real time to identify root causes and implement effective fixes.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical planning.
• Design and optimize relational database schemas using PostgreSQL
• Own features from development through deployment, with guidance from senior engineers.
• Contribute to testing efforts, including writing unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Develop backend services and APIs using Python or Go
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in agile development processes.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and spec-driven workflows to accelerate delivery and maintain code quality.
• Document technical designs, processes, and code to ensure clarity and maintainability.

Technical Requirements

• Proficiency in React in writing web development code.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway)
• Understanding of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, containerization (Docker), and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform or CloudFormation) is a plus.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Familiarity with large-scale data processing technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Experience building or maintaining data transformations (ETL) using SQL, Python.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and coordinate with Onsite team on daily basis.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools.
