Engineering Expert – Engineering Design & Simulation

Engagement: Remote
Experience: 8+ years (10+ years preferred)
Duration: Up to 24 weeks, with potential continuation based on project requirements
Commitment: Full-time, 40 hours/week (Typical task duration: 30–40 hours)
Compensation: $500 per completed task
Time Zone: 4 hours of PST overlap required
Start Date: Immediate availability preferred
Location: Remote

Eligibility: Candidates must be based in one of the following countries:

Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Turkey, Brazil, or Colombia.

About the Role

We are looking for experienced LLM Engineering Experts with strong hands-on experience in engineering design, simulation, modeling, and Python programming to support technical projects through Turing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related discipline, along with practical experience using engineering simulation and open-source technical tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design, analysis, modeling, and simulation tasks.
• Develop and implement engineering solutions using Python and relevant simulation tools.
• Work on technical problems involving mechanical, electrical, aerospace, computational, or multidisciplinary engineering.
• Build, modify, validate, and troubleshoot engineering models and simulations.
• Automate engineering workflows using Python scripting.
• Interpret simulation results and document technical findings.
• Work independently on assigned engineering tasks while meeting quality and delivery requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of hands-on engineering design experience; 10+ years preferred.
• Strong experience in engineering simulation, modeling, analysis, or design.
• Strong Python programming and scripting skills.
• Hands-on experience with one or more engineering/simulation tools such as:
• ngspice / PySpice
• OpenFOAM
• FEniCSx
• CalculiX
• python-control
• CadQuery / build123d
• OpenModelica
• Cantera
• Gmsh
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment.
• Ability to commit to 40 hours per week and provide 4 hours of PST overlap.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Experience with computational engineering, numerical methods, CAD, CFD, FEA, control systems, or engineering automation.
• Experience developing reusable Python-based engineering tools or workflows.
• Prior experience working with distributed or international engineering teams.
