This company builds an AI platform that integrates financial and clinical data for healthcare systems. The platform uses agentic AI to transform and analyze data, providing insights that are critical for healthcare finance operations. With a team of 27 and $34M in funding, the company is growing and currently serves five health systems, including Northwestern.

About the role

This position is crucial for bridging customer-specific business rules with the AI systems that rely on them. You will work directly with customer finance and clinical teams to understand and transform their data into a unified ontology and semantic layer. This role requires deep knowledge of healthcare data and the ability to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

What You’ll Do

• Review and understand customer data models by collaborating directly with finance and clinical teams.
• Transform payer contract logic and chart-of-accounts details into tested, durable transformations.
• Utilize SQL to map customer data into the company’s unified semantic layer.
• Maintain high standards for testing and validation of all data transformations.
• Collaborate with insights and product engineering teams to expand the ontology as new data sources emerge.

The Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering or a similar role.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and modern data transformation tools.
• Experience with healthcare data and the ability to identify discrepancies quickly.
• Strong communication skills for working directly with customer teams.

This Role Is NOT For You If

• You prefer a role focused on platform infrastructure rather than data transformation.
• You are not comfortable working on-site in New York for four days a week.
• You require new visa sponsorship.
