Senior AI Software Engineer - Prop Trading

Sartre Group are partnered with a leading proprietary trading firm, looking to continue its investment in AI, developer tooling, and next-generation trading technology. As part of this growth, they are looking for an exceptional AI Software Engineer to join their team.

This is a genuinely high-impact engineering role building AI and agent tooling for Engineers, Quants, and Traders, working directly with users to improve research, development, and trading workflows.

Market experience: Candidates should have professional experience within a trading, financial markets, quantitative research, or market data environment, given the close interaction with trading and research workflows.

You’ll work on:

• Building AI and agent tooling for Engineers, Quants, and Traders.
• Integrating LLMs, coding agents, model APIs, and agent infrastructure.
• Developing AI applications across research, simulation, and trading workflows.
• Taking ambiguous ideas from prototype through to reliable production systems.

They’re looking for:

• Experience building production software with LLMs, agents, and model APIs.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python, C++, and/or Java.
• Experience building developer tooling, infrastructure, or user-facing applications.
• A hands-on approach, with the ability to take ideas from concept through to production.
