Job Description

Ingenuity Group is recruiting experienced PowerBuilder Application Developers

These positions will support the Paperless Office System used by programs that help New Yorkers access benefits, housing assistance and other essential services. The work combines ongoing production support with application enhancement and modernization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and enhance enterprise applications developed in PowerBuilder
  • Develop and troubleshoot PowerBuilder Windows applications
  • Create and modify Oracle stored procedures, packages and triggers
  • Analyze data structures, databases and application-processing requirements
  • Design, develop, test and implement software enhancements
  • Prepare technical and user documentation
  • Support software conversions and legacy-system integration
  • Develop program specifications and help lead implementation of software solutions
  • Diagnose production issues and support mission-critical applications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least four years of relevant application-development experience
  • Strong hands-on PowerBuilder development experience
  • Experience with Oracle 11g or 12c
  • Ability to develop and debug stored procedures, packages and triggers
  • Experience supporting Windows-based enterprise applications
  • Understanding of data structures, application design, programming, testing and implementation
  • Experience producing technical documentation
  • Ability to work independently within a complex application environment
  • Willingness and ability to work a hybrid schedule in New York City

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with government, social-services or public-benefits systems
  • Exposure to mainframe or midrange environments
  • Experience modernizing or integrating legacy applications
