Job Description
Job Title: AI Architect or Principal/Staff Engineer, Agentic AI Systems
Location: Hybrid — Dallas TX or NYC
Duration: 3 Years Contract
Why This Role
Client team needs someone who owns agent architecture, orchestration, and the trust/autonomy boundary — deciding when an agent acts versus defers to a human. We’re looking for someone who has taken multi-agent or autonomous AI systems from prototype to production at real scale — a system that makes decisions and takes actions, not a chatbot wrapper.
Must Have
- 7+ years overall experience, with at least 3+ years recent, hands-on work building and shipping an agentic or autonomous AI system in production
- Direct ownership of core architecture — not a contributor on someone else’s design
- Experience at a company like Meta, NVIDIA, AWS, or Google/Gemini (or equivalent AI-native scale-up)
- Experience building evaluation systems that proved the agent was reliable enough to run with real autonomy
Preferred
- Exposure to a regulated or mission-critical environment (finance, healthcare, infra)
