Front End Web Developer (WordPress) Location: California Residents Only (100% Remote)

Pay: $43 - $45 Per Hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Front End Web Developer with strong WordPress expertise to support the development, migration, optimization, and maintenance of modern websites and user-facing web applications. This role requires a candidate who can lead WordPress initiatives, collaborate with business stakeholders, and deliver responsive, accessible, and high-performing web solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience with WordPress development, custom themes and plugins, website migrations, responsive design, SEO, and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive websites and front-end user interfaces
• Build, customize, and support WordPress websites, themes, and plugins
• Lead website migration and conversion projects from various CMS platforms to WordPress
• Convert design mockups into fully functional WordPress pages
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs
• Troubleshoot cross-browser and front-end performance issues
• Optimize websites for speed, SEO, accessibility, and usability
• Ensure Section 508 compliance standards are met
• Collaborate with stakeholders and business owners to gather requirements and deliver solutions
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development environments
• Utilize Git-based version control and modern development practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (equivalent experience may be substituted)
• Minimum 4 years of front-end web development experience
• Minimum 5 years of WordPress administration, development, migration, and optimization experience
• At least 3 years of experience leading web projects and communicating directly with business stakeholders
