Temporary Part-Time Admin Assistant for Private Medical Office

Job Summary

We are looking for a part-time, temporary administrative assistant to help manage our private medical office while our Office Coordinator is on maternity leave!

Job hours are flexible and are great for working parents, with typical start time at 8:30am and end time by 2pm.

The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, enjoys connecting with people, has excellent communication skills, and is well-organized and detail-oriented. May have prior work experience with secretarial work, patient/customer services. Medical office experience not required.

Responsibilities include:

• Answer phone in friendly, professional manner

• Greet patients warmly and assist with scheduling

• Relay patient messages to physicians and nurse practitioner

• Organize, scan, and fax patient documents

• Use of electronic medical record to upload documents and schedule patients

• Assist with managing office inventory and ordering supplies

• Organizing office supplies

• Optional: assist with creating social media posts and content

Position details:

• 4 Day Work Week; schedule would be M/T/Th/F 8:30-2pm. Occasional coverage of Wednesdays may be needed.

• Duration: late October through February

• 22-28 hours weekly

• Staff members must be vaccinated against flu, and must be non-smoking.

• $20/hour starting

• Paid holidays

Emerald Direct Primary Care is an independent private practice, and cares for patients aged 0 to 105! Dr. Moini opened the office in October 2020, and we have grown to three clinicians. We serve patients regardless of insurance status and provide accessible care for all ages, practicing internal medicine, pediatrics, and weight management.
