SDET / Automation QA Engineer - Playwright & AI

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SDET / Automation QA Engineer to design, develop, maintain, and scale Web and API automation frameworks. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript, along with exposure to AI-driven and agent-based testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance scalable Web and API automation frameworks.
• Develop automated test scripts using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Perform API automation and REST API testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts.
• Contribute to AI-driven and agent-based test automation initiatives.
• Explore and implement AI-assisted test generation and automation workflows.
• Analyze automation failures and contribute to self-healing and autonomous testing approaches.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to ensure software quality.

Required Skills

• 3–7 years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation / SDET roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience in API Automation / REST API testing.
• Good knowledge of Node.js.
• Experience with Docker.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of automation framework design, debugging, maintenance, and CI/CD.
• Good understanding of software testing concepts and automation best practices.

AI & LLM Skills

• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs such as OpenAI GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama, or similar models into testing workflows.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering and AI-assisted test generation.
• Understanding of AI Agents / Agentic Testing.
• Exposure to autonomous test execution, failure analysis, and self-healing automation.
• Exposure to Model Context Protocol (MCP) / Playwright MCP.
• Experience or exposure to OpenAI Agents SDK and Browser Use.

Good to Have

• Git / GitHub
• BrowserStack
• Agile / Scrum methodology
• Experience building scalable automation frameworks
• Exposure to AI-powered testing tools and frameworks

Preferred Candidate

• Immediate joiners are preferred.
• Candidates with strong hands-on Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript experience are preferred.
• Candidates with practical experience in AI/LLM-based testing or agentic testing will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
