Duties

• Assist in designing and developing scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails, JavaScript frameworks, and RESTful APIs.
• Support the implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions on platforms such as AWS to ensure system reliability and scalability.
• Contribute to system design for system development projects, focusing on microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Collaborate within Agile software development teams to plan sprints, review code, and deliver high-quality features efficiently.
• Help maintain version control repositories using GitHub, SVN, or similar tools; participate in CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment.
• Support front-end development efforts utilizing JavaScript, React Express, and other modern frameworks to enhance user interfaces.
• Assist with database management tasks involving SQL databases like MySQL and application development with Java, Python, or C++ as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure concepts including cloud infrastructure (AWS) and scalable systems design.
• Experience or familiarity with Ruby on Rails, JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular), and RESTful API development.
• Knowledge of software engineering principles such as design patterns, microservices architecture, and system design for scalability.
• Proficiency in programming languages including JavaScript, Python, Java, C++, or C; experience with front-end development is a plus.
• Experience with version control tools like Git or SVN; understanding of CI/CD practices for automated testing and deployment.
• Strong problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to work collaboratively within Agile teams.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies such as quantum engineering concepts or advanced cloud infrastructure solutions is desirable but not mandatory.
