🚨 Hiring: Technical / CAD Designer I
📍 Location: Schenectady, NY
🕐 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a Technical / CAD Designer I to support engineering and project teams by creating accurate and detailed CAD models and drawings based on instructions, sketches, and layouts.
The ideal candidate will have CAD experience, a basic understanding of drafting practices, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate models and drawings using CAD software according to provided instructions.
- Make model and drawing changes and revisions as directed by engineers or project managers.
- Work under close supervision, instruction, and review to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
- Follow established modeling and drafting practices and procedures to produce clear, concise, and consumable models and drawings.
- Communicate effectively with engineers and team members regarding project requirements and timelines.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Technology, Drafting, or a related field plus experience , OR completion of a related vocational/technical high school program.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
