How You’ll Help Us Keep Climbing (Overview & Key Responsibilities) Role Summary Developer responsible for developing and maintaining highly reliable, secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud-based applications supporting Aircraft Weight and Balance solutions within the Operations and Customer Center (OCC) domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack cloud applications on AWS, leveraging AI-powered capabilities to address business needs and enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure solutions meet key non-functional requirements, including reliability, scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate in production support activities, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents as part of an on-call rotation to maintain high service availability.

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience developing and supporting distributed cloud applications on AWS.
• Strong proficiency in Java development, including JVM performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization in high-throughput production environments.
• Hands-on experience building applications using Spring Boot/Quarkus, Microservices architecture, and RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Experience working with relational database technologies.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, RDS, CloudFormation, and Code Pipeline.
• Understanding of cloud security principles, secure coding practices, and networking concepts in distributed cloud environments.
• Proficiency with source control and DevOps practices, including Git, CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working within Agile development methodologies and cross-functional product teams.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and messaging technologies such as Kafka/EMS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across technical and business teams.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain a strong customer-focused mindset.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace while upholding the highest standards of safety, security, and compliance.
• Strong appreciation for design thinking, software craftsmanship, and engineering best practices that promote code quality, maintainability, and long-term scalability.
• Demonstrated experience using AWS AI/ML services such as Amazon SageMaker, Bedrock, and AgentCore
• Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Kiro) to accomplish tasks such as generating and reviewing code, writing and maintaining tests, creating documentation, and debugging, while exercising sound judgment to validate and take ownership of AI-generated output
• Understanding of prompt engineering, AI workflows, and/or model integration patterns
