Job Description
Referment is working with a sophisticated investment organisation seeking an experienced Executive Assistant for a six-month fixed-term assignment supporting senior executives. You will join an established executive-support function and help keep demanding schedules, meetings, travel and business priorities organised from the outset.
The role is designed for someone with substantial, directly relevant support experience who can quickly understand principal preferences and team dynamics. You will work closely with executive-assistance managers before taking on coverage assignments, combining independent delivery with close collaboration across the support team.
The Role
- Manage complex schedules and make sound decisions when meetings, requests and priorities compete.
- Coordinate detail-sensitive meetings, ensuring participants, materials and logistics are properly prepared.
- Plan intricate travel itineraries and respond effectively when arrangements change.
- Liaise professionally with internal business teams and external stakeholders on behalf of senior executives.
- Support important projects and follow through on actions so that business initiatives remain organised and on track.
- Learn individual executive preferences and team working practices before providing independent coverage where required.
What We’re Looking For
- At least seven years of relevant experience providing executive, administrative or comparable high-level operational support.
- Excellent organisation, communication and attention to detail in a fast-moving working environment.
- The judgement and discretion required to handle confidential information.
- A proactive approach and the ability to take ownership while working effectively as part of a wider support team.
- Confidence learning productivity software and incorporating new tools into established workflows.
Relevant Desirable Experience A bachelor’s degree is preferred rather than required. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, and collaboration or knowledge-management platforms would be useful. Client-service or other customer-focused experience is also advantageous; financial-services experience is not required.
This could suit an established Executive Assistant, Senior Administrative Assistant or executive-support professional who can become effective quickly in a demanding six-month assignment. Strong performers may be considered for future permanent opportunities, although no permanent role is guaranteed.
