Job Description
We’re working with an early-stage, VC-backed legal technology company building an AI-native law firm alongside its own litigation software platform.
They’re hiring a Litigation Attorney as one of the first lawyers on the team.
This is not a traditional associate role. You’ll have significant autonomy to run matters end-to-end, from client intake and engagement through discovery, depositions, strategy and settlement.
The work will span a range of civil litigation, including both plaintiff and defence matters, representing startups, small businesses and individuals.
What they’re looking for:
- 1–4 years of civil litigation experience
- Admitted to the Bar in California, Texas or Florida
- Experience at a boutique, plaintiff-side or smaller litigation firm
- Genuine hands-on case responsibility rather than supporting one narrow part of a matter
- Comfortable dealing directly with clients and explaining legal strategy
- Able to work independently and figure things out without large-firm infrastructure
- Interested in using AI extensively within legal practice
Plaintiff employment, consumer protection, class action or mass tort experience would be particularly relevant, but isn’t required.
Pure BigLaw backgrounds are unlikely to fit. They’re deliberately looking for lawyers who have had meaningful responsibility early in their careers.
Location: Remote within the US. You must be barred in California, Texas or Florida. Occasional travel to New York, approximately once per quarter.
Compensation: $130k–$160k base + bonus + 0.15%–0.5% equity.
If you’re a litigator who wants substantially more ownership of your cases than you’d normally get at this stage of your career, get in touch.
You missed this one - but you don't have to keep missing out. Try Club members get matched with open opportunities before they're gone, so you're always first in line, never last.
