AI Native Software Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a AI Native Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This role will shape core platform experiences that help users understand, supervise, and interact with AI-driven systems in a clear and intuitive way. The engineer will work across backend services, control-plane architecture, and user-facing interfaces to turn complex distributed-system behavior into usable product experiences. This position will also partner closely with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to prototype new interaction models and improve how humans and agents collaborate within the platform.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $197,300 – $313,700 annually

Responsibilities

• Own and develop core control-plane and telemetry experiences from conception to user experience
• Translate complex distributed-system concepts into clear product functionalities
• Create workflows to express human intent and supervise agent activities
• Design information-rich visualizations to clarify system states and interactions
• Determine appropriate interactions for humans and agents within the product
• Define oversight patterns for human intervention in automated processes
• Prototype and test innovative interaction models to enhance user experience

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on data-intensive and distributed systems
• Experience in building platform or control-plane software
• Strong background in information design and user experience
• Proficient in visualizing complex data for human comprehension
• Ability to work across the technology stack from backend architectures to user interfaces
• Understanding of AI-native engineering practices
• Capacity to manage ambiguity and develop products from first principles
