This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the world’s most recognized luxury retail organizations during a period of significant growth and expansion across North America. With new stores, renovations, outlet projects, and innovative retail concepts underway, you’ll play a key role in bringing the brand’s vision to life while helping shape the future of its store experience.

If you’re passionate about architecture, retail environments, and turning creative concepts into flawlessly executed spaces, this is a chance to work alongside a highly collaborative team and contribute to projects that will be seen by millions of customers.

Location: New York City, NY (10 Hudson Yards)

Schedule: Hybrid | 3 Days Onsite (Tuesday-Thursday) / 2 Days Remote

Duration: 12-Month Contract with Potential for Permanent Hire

Pay Rate: Up to $60/hour

Start Date: ASAP

We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Store Design & Architecture Manager to support the North America Store Design team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong architectural background who enjoys managing multiple projects, coordinating stakeholders, maintaining design standards, and ensuring exceptional execution across a growing retail portfolio.

This is not a design creation role . Instead, you’ll help translate established design concepts into successful store environments by managing project execution, construction documentation, scheduling, approvals, and cross-functional coordination.

What You’ll Do

Store Design & Project Execution

  • Support the execution of new stores, remodels, outlet locations, and special retail projects throughout North America
  • Translate creative visions into detailed design intent and construction documentation
  • Coordinate fixture layouts, millwork integration, finishes, and store design details
  • Review architectural drawings and consultant deliverables for quality, accuracy, and brand consistency
  • Assist with space planning studies, schematic layouts, and test fits
  • Support prototype development and implementation of evolving store concepts
  • Help maintain universal design standards, filing systems, and construction guidelines

Project Management & Coordination

  • Manage project schedules and track key milestones across multiple concurrent projects
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, landlords, and internal partners
  • Track design deliverables, permit approvals, bidding packages, and construction progress
  • Maintain project logs, action-item trackers, meeting notes, and status reports
  • Monitor project risks and escalate issues when necessary
  • Prepare executive-level project updates and presentations
  • Support budget tracking, scope changes, and value-engineering initiatives

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Real Estate, Construction, Operations, and Visual Merchandising teams
  • Participate in project review meetings and planning sessions
  • Ensure alignment between design intent and project execution
  • Coordinate with vendors and external consultants to keep projects on track

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in retail architecture, store design, store planning, or interior design
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously (10+ projects preferred)
  • Strong understanding of retail development, permitting, construction, and project delivery processes
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities
  • Strong portfolio showcasing architecture and retail-related work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Architecture
  • Retail industry experience
  • LEED accreditation or other relevant certifications
  • Experience working in-house for a retailer or within an architecture/design agency supporting retail clients

  • Join a globally recognized luxury retail organization experiencing significant growth
  • Work on high-profile retail projects across North America
  • Exposure to executive leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Opportunity to influence the customer experience through innovative store environments
  • Hybrid work schedule in a premier NYC location
  • Strong potential for long-term career growth and possible permanent conversion
