Job Description

Job Summary Ready to own the hardware lifecycle from napkin sketch to mass production? We are recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer to join a core R&D engineering team in the Syracuse Metro. Working for one of the most vertically integrated electronics manufacturers in the US, this opportunity gives you the rare ability to design, prototype, stress-test, and watch your work hit production - all under one roof.

This is a dedicated New Product Development (NPD) role heavily focused on customer innovation, DFMEA, and stress analysis. If you are looking to drive tangible board-level product development within electronics, apply today!

  • Perform comprehensive Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) to proactively identify risk points and ensure high product reliability.
  • Execute rigorous electrical stress analysis, including component derating, thermal evaluations, and worst-case circuit analysis across operating extremes.
  • Select, qualify, and integrate core electrical components, balancing performance, unit cost, supply chain availability, and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate closely with firmware, mechanical, and layout teams to resolve hardware-level integration challenges without taking on overall architecture control.
  • Design and execute verification and validation (V&V) test plans to ensure compliance with relevant industry safety, EMC/EMI, and environmental standards.
