Position Summary

The Mobile Developer will support the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of mobile applications for the M&O Services for DSS Application Systems project. This position requires experience developing mobile solutions using modern web and mobile technologies, with an emphasis on iOS application development, React Native, RESTful services, and enterprise mobile application deployment.

The Mobile Developer will collaborate with developers, technical teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle to develop secure, reliable, and user-friendly mobile applications that meet business and technical requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, enhance, and maintain mobile applications.
• Develop application components using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Utilize JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as jQuery, Dojo, Sencha Touch, AngularJS, React Native, and/or comparable technologies.
• Develop and maintain mobile applications following established iOS design patterns and development standards.
• Integrate mobile applications with JSON-based RESTful web services.
• Implement and maintain data persistence solutions on mobile devices.
• Support the complete iOS application build, testing, and deployment lifecycle.
• Configure and support continuous integration and automated mobile application build processes.
• Utilize source control and program versioning tools such as Bitbucket.
• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile application functionality using React Native.
• Prepare and submit applications through the Apple App Store submission process.
• Deploy mobile applications through Apple business and enterprise distribution channels.
• Support enterprise application deployment and device management using Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms such as AirWatch, MobileIron, or comparable technologies.
• Troubleshoot mobile application performance, compatibility, integration, and deployment issues.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and application performance optimization.
• Develop and maintain appropriate application and technical documentation.
• Participate in Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and technical requirements into effective mobile solutions.
• Follow established development, security, testing, change-management, and quality assurance standards.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have a minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience with demonstrated experience in the following technologies and competencies:

• JavaScript
• HTML5
• CSS3
• JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as jQuery, Dojo, Sencha Touch, AngularJS, or comparable technologies
• React Native
• iOS application development and design patterns
• JSON and RESTful web services
• Mobile device data persistence
• iOS application build processes
• Continuous integration and automated build processes
• Source control and versioning tools, including Bitbucket
• Apple App Store application submission processes
• Enterprise mobile application deployment
• Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms such as AirWatch and MobileIron
• Agile software development methodologies
