Software Engineer – Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Power Platform (.NET)

Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a Software Engineer – Microsoft Dynamics 365 with strong expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem. The role is suited to an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 professional who has transitioned from a traditional .NET development background into a Power Platform-focused engineering role.

The successful candidate will design, develop, customize, integrate, and support enterprise solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Apps, and related Microsoft technologies. The role contributes to business objectives by delivering scalable applications, improving process automation, supporting low-code/no-code adoption, and helping stakeholders meet operational and customer-service requirements.

Software Requirements

Required Software Skills

• Microsoft Dynamics 365: Strong hands-on experience designing, configuring, customizing, developing, and supporting enterprise business applications.
• Microsoft Power Platform: Practical experience with the platform ecosystem, including application development, automation, and solution configuration.
• Power Apps: Hands-on experience building and maintaining business applications, including model-driven and/or canvas applications.
• Microsoft Dataverse: Experience designing data models, managing tables, relationships, business rules, security roles, and solution components.
• .NET Development: Professional background in .NET development, including experience that supports integration, customization, troubleshooting, or extension of enterprise applications.
• Microsoft ecosystem integrations: Experience developing or supporting integrations across Microsoft technologies.
• Enterprise application development: Experience designing and implementing scalable business applications.
• Development and support tools: Experience using appropriate tools for debugging, source control, deployment, monitoring, and application support.

Preferred Software Skills

• Dynamics 365 Customer Service: Experience configuring, enhancing, or supporting the module.
• Dynamics 365 Contact Center: Experience with the module is preferred.
• Microsoft Fabric: Experience with Fabric or willingness to work on Fabric-based solutions.
• Low-code/no-code development: Exposure to developing and maintaining solutions using low-code/no-code practices.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform certifications: Relevant certifications are a plus.
• Additional Microsoft Power Platform capabilities: Experience with related platform services used for workflow automation, integration, reporting, or enterprise solution delivery.

Overall Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, customize, and support solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform.
• Build and maintain applications using Power Apps and Dataverse, ensuring that solutions meet functional, technical, security, and performance requirements.
• Configure and enhance Dynamics 365 applications to address documented business requirements and improve operational workflows.
• Develop integrations and automate business processes across Microsoft technologies using appropriate application programming interfaces, connectors, services, and integration patterns.
• Apply .NET development experience to support extensions, integrations, custom components, troubleshooting, and maintainable enterprise solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution designers, project teams, and technical teams to clarify requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Participate in solution design, technical estimation, development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production support activities.
• Investigate defects and incidents, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and document resolutions.
• Contribute to the adoption of low-code/no-code development practices while applying appropriate governance, maintainability, security, and quality standards.
• Support knowledge sharing, technical documentation, reusable solution components, and consistent engineering practices.
• Consider sustainability by promoting efficient application design, responsible use of cloud resources, reusable components, and solutions that reduce unnecessary processing and maintenance effort.
