Are you passionate about architecting enterprise DevOps platforms, driving cloud modernization, and enabling organizations to accelerate software delivery through automation and governance? We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Platform Architect to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise-scale DevOps and source control platforms while establishing best practices for automation, security, and cloud-native development.

In this role, you will define target-state DevOps architectures, lead platform modernization initiatives, and collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient development ecosystems. You will serve as a technical leader responsible for shaping platform strategy, governance standards, and automation frameworks that support enterprise software delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Architecture & Strategy

• Assess current development and delivery environments and define future-state DevOps platform architectures.
• Develop strategic roadmaps for platform modernization, cloud adoption, and engineering enablement initiatives.
• Establish enterprise standards for development workflows, source control, build automation, and release management.

DevOps Platform Modernization

• Lead migrations and transformation initiatives involving modern DevOps platforms and source code management solutions.
• Design scalable and secure development environments that support enterprise growth and operational requirements.
• Drive adoption of modern software delivery practices and platform engineering principles.

CI/CD & Automation Leadership

• Define and implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) frameworks and best practices.
• Develop reusable automation patterns that improve deployment consistency, speed, and reliability.
• Standardize build, testing, deployment, and release management processes across engineering teams.

Infrastructure as Code & Cloud Enablement

• Architect Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions that support automated provisioning and environment management.
• Design cloud deployment frameworks that enable scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency.
• Promote automation-first approaches for infrastructure and application lifecycle management.

Security, Governance & DevSecOps

• Establish governance frameworks, security controls, and compliance standards across development platforms.
• Integrate security practices into software delivery pipelines and development workflows.
• Ensure platform solutions align with organizational security and risk management requirements.

Source Control & Development Lifecycle Management

• Define standards and best practices for source code management, branching strategies, repository governance, and release processes.
• Support development teams in adopting efficient collaboration and code management practices.
• Optimize software development lifecycle processes to improve engineering productivity.

Technical Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as a trusted advisor to engineering, architecture, security, and business stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance on DevOps tools, cloud platforms, and automation technologies.
• Drive alignment between platform capabilities and organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in DevOps Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud Architecture, or related disciplines.
• Strong expertise across the Azure DevOps ecosystem, including:
• Azure Boards
• Azure Repos
• Azure Pipelines
• Azure Artifacts
• Azure Test Plans
• Experience designing and managing enterprise source control and development lifecycle platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud services and cloud-native architecture principles.
• Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform, Bicep, or similar tools.
• Experience implementing enterprise CI/CD pipelines and release automation strategies.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices, governance, compliance, and security automation.
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
