Job Overview

We are excited to offer a paid Fashion Design Internship designed to cultivate emerging talent in the dynamic world of fashion. Duties

• Assist in developing initial design concepts through sketching and illustration using graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Support the team in creating detailed technical drawings and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files for apparel and accessories.
• Contribute to fabric and textile research, emphasizing textiles used in industrial and fashion design, including color theory applications.
• Participate in mood board creation, trend analysis, and presentation preparation for seasonal collections.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, styling, and production to ensure cohesive product development.
• Aid in garment construction processes, including sewing techniques and pattern making, utilizing sewing machines and 3D modeling software.
• Assist with visual merchandising concepts, fashion styling, and presentation setups for runway shows or photo shoots.
• Engage in professional art or design projects that develop artistic concepts from initial sketches through final illustrations.
• Support quality control by reviewing samples for fit, fabric integrity, and overall craftsmanship.
• Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions to foster innovative design solutions aligned with current market trends.

Experience

• Demonstrated proficiency with graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and vector illustration tools.
• Basic knowledge of CAD programs used in fashion design and garment construction.
• Experience with textile selection, fabric manipulation, or industrial textiles is preferred.
• Familiarity with fashion retail environments, styling techniques, and merchandising principles.
• Artistic skills demonstrated through a portfolio showcasing illustration, sketching, or professional art projects.
• Hands-on experience with sewing machines, pattern drafting, or sewing techniques is advantageous.
• Exposure to theater or costume design can be beneficial for understanding costume construction and theatrical styling.
• Strong communication skills necessary for effective cross-functional collaboration and presentation of ideas.
