Under the direction of an assigned Director in the Human Resources Division, performs varied, responsible and confidential administrative assistant duties to relieve the Director of administrative and clerical detail; plans, coordinates and organizes office activities and coordinates flow of communications for the Director; serves as liaison between the Director and other County Office departments/staff, district, union members and outside agencies; serves as recording secretary to the Personnel Commission. This position is full-time, in-person, and has a work year of 12 months, 260 days, 8 hours per day.Leadership team members are eligible to receive a $2,500 annual stipend for a master’s degree and a $2,500 additional stipend for a doctorate, provided official documentation is submitted.

Those who pass the written exam will be invited to participate in an in-basket exam, tentatively scheduled for July 9, 2026. Those who pass the in-basket exam will be invited to participate in an oral examination with subject matter experts, tentatively scheduled for July 15, 2026. Classified Personnel Services will establish an unranked eligibility list, which will terminate upon filling the position opening or after thirty (30) days, whichever comes first.
