Job Description We are looking for candidates with experience at the firmware and embedded software level, rather than primarily at the application layer.

Candidate Requirements

• Resumes received are mostly at the application layer, not firmware level.
• Candidates should have experience with ARM and RISC V architectures.
• Experience in memory optimizations and working with microprocessors is needed.
• Candidates should have embedded software development experience.
• Experience in payments, Java Card, EMV, cryptography, and ID cards is relevant.
• Candidates should have secure coding experience in embedded C.
• Experience in OS development for Java Card is required.
• Candidates should be able to work with global platform standards.

Location and experience :

• Candidates should preferably be based in Bangalore.
• No remote work or outside Bangalore resources will be entertained.
• Preferred experience level is 7-8 years, with a cap at 10-11 years.
• Candidates should be able to immediately start working on the project.
• Experience in competitor companies like ST and Infineon is relevant.

Interview Process

• We are looking for candidates who can participate in two virtual technical interview rounds.
• One cultural fit round with the hiring manager will be conducted.
• Candidates will interact with the Europe team during the interview process.
• Good communication skills are essential for the virtual interview rounds.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in C and Java is required.
• Java Card is a subset of Java, understanding of object-oriented programming is needed.
• Applet development experience is beneficial.
• Candidates should have experience in embedded software development.

Role Specifics

• The role involves OS development for Java Card.
• Candidates will work closely with hardware layers.
• Experience in digital design or VLSI is not required.
• Candidates should be able to interact with hardware registers and multiple interfaces.
