Brief Job Description Performs highly advanced senior level analysis and development of complex business processes, system solutions. Provides technical direction and technical oversight to development teams. Provides a strong customer and cross functional interface for application related activities & support.

This position is part of the HHSC IT Public Health team and will be working to develop, implement, and support the expansion of the Texas HHS Microsoft 365 Power Platform. This position will perform Programmer duties that will involve the following Power Platform areas: Process Automate, Data-verse, Integration of Power Apps with external services and products, Model-driven Apps, Canvas Apps, Power Pages, and more.

Programmer VI - Development Lead / Lead Developer is responsible for the design, development and execution of complex applications based on acceptance criteria and design documentation. Programmer VI will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Solution Architects, Developers, Database Administrators, DevOps engineers, Information Security, Testing, and Operations teams to successfully deliver various enhancement, modernization, and cloud migration efforts for Public Health applications.

• Provides technical leadership and oversight to achieve application delivery goals and milestones.
• Provides directions on architecture, design, and programming standards and structure.
• Develops solution architecture, and foundational engineering frameworks and integration tools.
• Develops roadmap, strategies, standards and processes for the assigned application.
• Provides technical leadership to application operations and triage support to troubleshoot & resolve functional & performance issues.

May assist with budget preparation and administration for assigned area.

May manage multiple programming projects.

This position works under minimal direction with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
