Application Developer_1 (Mid - Sr Level)

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite

Client: NYC Department of Social Services (DSS/ITS)

Address: 505 Clermont Ave, 3rd Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11238

Project Start Date: January 21, 2027

Schedule: 8 hours per day, including a 1-hour lunch break (7 billable hours)

Visa: H1B candidates are welcome

Clearance: No clearance required

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Application Developer with strong full-stack .NET development experience to support our client, NYC Department of Social Services (DSS/ITS).

Key Requirements

  • Strong experience designing and developing web services-based applications
  • Hands-on experience with .NET, MVC, HTML5, jQuery and Bootstrap
  • Strong front-end and back-end web application development experience
  • Experience designing and developing Oracle and SQL Server databases
  • Experience with WCF, Web Services and API-based applications
  • Experience with N-tier application architecture
  • Knowledge of data structures, data manipulation, programming, testing and implementation
  • Experience with database design and development
  • Experience designing workflow, document management and security systems
  • Knowledge of Active Directory-based security
  • Experience preparing technical and user documentation and supporting software conversions
  • Experience leading program specifications and implementation of software solutions
  • Exposure to mainframe, mid-range and PC/laptop environments
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
