About Parasol Projects

Parasol Projects is a pop-up agency that connects brands with short-term retail and commercial spaces across New York City. We help clients bring exhibitions, showrooms, retail concepts, and brand activations to life — and we’re growing our own portfolio of spaces along with it.

We’re looking for a Design & Production Coordinator to support both our internal retail spaces and the client projects we produce inside them. You’ll split your time between technical documentation (CAD drawings, floor plans, space records) and hands-on production work (site visits, installs, vendor coordination).

What You’ll Do

Space Documentation & Design

• Measure and document Parasol’s retail spaces (existing and new)
• Produce and maintain CAD floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, and electrical layouts
• Build and maintain 3D models of all Parasol spaces
• Develop installation drawings for internal renovation projects
• Maintain the drawing library and internal documentation standards
• Support renovation planning, material takeoffs, and fixture layouts
• Coordinate with maintenance and facilities on space improvements

Production & Client Support

• Coordinate site visits with clients
• Assist with client floor plans and furniture layouts
• Help build presentation decks, proposals, and estimates
• Research and source fixtures, furniture, and materials
• Coordinate vendors, deliveries, and installation schedules
• Support production budgeting and project tracking
• Assist onsite with installations, strikes, and quality control
• Document completed projects through photography and drawings

What You Bring

• 1–3 years of experience in interior design, exhibition design, architecture, or production
• Proficiency in Vectorworks (required)
• Experience with Rhino
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Ability to read and produce construction drawings
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills
• Comfortable splitting time between office work and onsite installations
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with retail, pop-ups, exhibitions, or experiential marketing
• Knowledge of fabrication methods and construction detailing
• Rendering experience (Enscape, V-Ray, Twinmotion, Lumion, etc.)
• Familiarity with project management software such as Basecamp
