Out of Network Surgical Biller

Medloop, a growing multispecialty medical billing company serving practices across the U.S., is seeking an experienced Out of Network Surgical Biller to join our team.

Prior out of network surgical billing experience is required for this position. We are specifically looking for someone who has hands on experience managing OON surgical claims from initial submission through reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, prepare, and submit out of network surgical claims
• Manage A/R and follow up on unpaid, underpaid, and denied claims
• Post and reconcile insurance payments
• Identify underpayments and reimbursement discrepancies
• Prepare reconsiderations and appeals with supporting documentation
• Follow up directly with insurance carriers to resolve outstanding claims
• Research and resolve denials, recoupments, and payment issues
• Negotiate claims when appropriate
• Follow up on patient balances as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation of all claim activity

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of medical billing experience
• Out of network surgical billing experience is REQUIRED
• Strong knowledge of OON claims, A/R, denials, appeals, and reimbursement
• Experience working directly with commercial insurance carriers
• Strong understanding of surgical claims and reimbursement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to manage a high volume of claims independently
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and medical billing software
