Executive Assistant and Corporate Secretary
Dominican Sisters of Peace
Full-Time | Exempt
Meaningful Work. Trusted Relationships. A Mission That Matters.
The Dominican Sisters of Peace are seeking an experienced and highly organized Executive Assistant and Corporate Secretary who is inspired by mission-driven work and wants to contribute to something larger than a traditional administrative role.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a team of strategic, visionary women leaders who are guiding the life, mission, and future of the Dominican Sisters of Peace. Your work will help create the organization, communication, coordination, and follow-through that allow the Leadership Team to focus on what matters most—supporting the Sisters, strengthening congregational life, advancing the mission, and preparing thoughtfully for the future.
Reporting to the Prioress (Congregational Leader), the Executive Assistant and Corporate Secretary serves as a trusted partner to the Congregational Leadership Team. This individual helps bring structure to complex priorities, connects people and information, protects leadership time, supports effective decision-making, and ensures that important commitments move forward.
For someone who values purpose, relationships, service, and meaningful contribution, this role provides a unique opportunity to use exceptional administrative and organizational skills in support of a faith-based mission.
What You’ll Do
- Provide high-level administrative and organizational support to the Prioress and Congregational Leadership Team.
- Anticipate leadership needs, priorities, deadlines, and scheduling challenges.
- Coordinate executive calendars, meetings, travel, events, and competing priorities.
- Prepare agendas, briefing materials, reports, presentations, correspondence, and other executive communications.
- Serve as Recording Secretary for designated meetings, including preparation of formal minutes and follow-up on decisions and action items.
- Track leadership commitments, projects, deadlines, and deliverables to help ensure important work moves forward.
- Coordinate information and activities across departments, Sisters, and other key stakeholders.
- Maintain sensitive executive, governance, congregational, and administrative records with the highest level of discretion.
- Support recurring executive office processes and identify opportunities to make administrative work more effective and efficient.
- Supervise and coordinate designated administrative support staff.
Why This Role Is Different
This is an opportunity to use your professional skills in service of a meaningful mission.
You will work alongside accomplished women leaders who are thinking strategically about the present and future of religious life while remaining deeply committed to the well-being, dignity, relationships, and quality of life of the Sisters they serve.
Your contribution may often happen behind the scenes, but its impact will be visible throughout the organization. By creating clarity, organization, communication, and reliable follow-through, you help leadership devote more of its time and attention to the Sisters, the congregation, and its mission.
The right person will see this not simply as a position that manages schedules and meetings, but as an opportunity to become a trusted and valued partner in important work.
