For over 95 years, Mooradian’s Furniture has helped families throughout the Capital Region furnish their homes with quality furniture, personalized service, and expert guidance. We’re continuing to grow and are looking for outgoing, motivated Design/Sales Consultants to join our teams in Albany, NY.

This isn’t just about selling furniture. Our Sales Consultants build relationships with customers, learn about their homes and lifestyles, and help them find furniture that fits their needs, personal style, and budget.

And your office? One of the largest furniture showrooms in the Capital Region!

We are currently hiring for full-time positions, approximately 36–40 hours per week.

What You’ll Do

As a Furniture Sales Consultant, you’ll work one-on-one with customers throughout the furniture-buying process. You’ll:

• Welcome customers and guide them through our showroom
• Ask questions, listen, and help customers find solutions for their homes
• Assist with furniture selections including style, size, color, fabric, leather, finishes, and configurations
• Learn our furniture manufacturers, products, construction, features, and customization options
• Educate customers so they can feel confident in their purchasing decisions
• Create and process both in-stock and special-order sales
• Build relationships and follow up with customers throughout the sales process
• Track customer orders from the point of sale through delivery
• Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after the sale
• Work collaboratively with fellow Sales Consultants and our support teams

Who We’re Looking For

• Confident communicating and working directly with customers
• Eager to learn and able to retain detailed product information

• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
• Available to work a retail schedule, including evenings and weekends

Previous sales, customer service, furniture, or interior design experience is a plus — but a great personality, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are just as important to us.

Compensation & Earning Potential

Typical Annual Earnings: $50,000–$80,000+

Mooradian’s offers a progressive compensation structure designed to provide stability while you’re learning the business and reward your performance as you grow.

New Sales Consultants begin with base compensation plus performance-based sales bonuses while learning our products, manufacturers, systems, and sales process.

As you progress, you will transition to a commission-based compensation structure, providing increased earning potential based on your individual sales performance.

Additional manufacturer incentives, bonuses, and sales incentives are also available throughout the year.
