PROJECT DESCRIPTION: DSS has a constant increased need for the provision of full systems life cycle applications development on various computer platforms, including a variety of client eligibility and recertification systems, employment/work engagement services, claims systems, etc., that are critical to the operation and functioning of DSS programs, requiring periodic refinements to maintain the applications at optimum service levels. Having a project portfolio which properly reflects the user’s business needs and DSS’ workload is crucial. Therefore, there is a need for IT consulting resources for the expanding responsibilities at DSS.

Tasks & Duties

• Manage and maintain Agency Sccm infrastructure includes Sccm Primary server, databases, secondary servers, distribution points, clients, packages and report. Assist with the routine maintenance of the Sccm infrastructure. The Sccm infrastructure consists of numerous moving parts that need to be constantly looked at and adjusted.
• Design and build SCCM applications, packages, and software patches to install on any of the Agency’s 21,000+ computers to enable end users to complete their day-to-day functions of providing services to the people of New York City who need assistance.
• Microsoft Intune environment, the cloud environment that supports the devices that are not on the local network and communicate via the Internet. Intune handles mass application installs through the cloud, device security policies and remediation, patching, reporting of devices of all the 6,000 laptops that are part of the agency.
• Interface across internal and external groups as needed, to obtain feedback regarding the needs of packages, as well as the reporting of deployed package to ensure the SCCM activities continue to meet the changing needs of the agency.
• Ensure SCCM servers, hardware, and software components are operating accurately and efficiently. Troubleshoot all issues with various teams and external vendors.
• Use MSIEXEC to manage packages for the deployment using the Sccm infrastructure
• Troubleshoot all issues with the various infrastructure teams and vendors.

Required Skills

A minimum of 4 years of experience with the following skill sets:

• Knowledge and experience of the Microsoft Sccm system.

• Microsoft Windows operating systems

• Knowledge of other operating systems similar to Apple Mac OS

• Experience with installation and troubleshooting Windows Applications.

• Knowledge and experience troubleshooting various computer hardware and software issues

Knowledge of SQL and programing languages and theories
