Job Description
Checkout Verify is an early-stage retail technology startup building an AI-powered transaction-integrity system for physical checkout. Our technology combines computer vision with POS transaction data to detect checkout discrepancies in real time, including missed scans and incorrect charges.
The Role
We are looking for a Technical Co-Founder / AI & Computer Vision Engineer to help build Checkout Verify from prototype to a real-world product.
You would work directly with the founder on:
- Computer vision and real-time object tracking
- AI/ML development
- Camera and POS data reconciliation
- Improving detection accuracy and reducing false alerts
- Backend and system architecture
- Testing the technology in real checkout environments
What We’re Looking For
Experience or strong skills in Python, computer vision, machine learning, OpenCV and/or similar technologies. Startup experience is not required. We care more about technical ability, willingness to build, and belief in the product.
Compensation
This is an early-stage co-founder opportunity. There is currently no salary. Compensation is equity-based, with ownership/equity to be discussed with the right candidate. The role can begin part-time with a flexible schedule.
Our Goal
Build Checkout Verify into the transaction-integrity layer for physical retail protecting retailers from checkout loss while also protecting customers from incorrect charges.
