Job Description
I’m working with a fast-growing healthtech startup rebuilding how care gets delivered for a chronic, high-need condition affecting millions of ageing Americans and their families. Their platform combines real care delivery - navigators and clinicians - with software as one integrated stack, using AI to let a small care team support a population that would otherwise need to be many times larger.
About the company
They’re Series A, backed by top-tier investors, and moving fast off the back of three things landing at once in their market: a new payment model that finally reimburses the work they do, a new generation of diagnostics bringing patients into care years earlier, and real treatment options that make that earlier diagnosis worth something. They’re building the infrastructure to act on all three before anyone else does.
About the role
You’d be joining a small, early engineering team - currently just a handful of people under a CTO who joined a few months ago to build it out properly. You won’t be handed a spec - you’ll sit in on real navigator and family calls, see where the product actually breaks down, and ship the fix yourself.
What you’ll need
- Genuinely strong full-stack ability - you don’t need a handoff to ship a feature end-to-end
- Hands-on experience building, evaluating, and shipping LLM-powered systems or agents in production
- Product-focused instinct - you think in terms of the user’s outcome, not the ticket, and you’ve shipped things you conceived of yourself
- Real experience building systems that handle sensitive data properly - auth, access control, and governance you’ve actually implemented
- A track record of operating software under real load, through a stage where the team, the codebase, and the customer base all multiplied
Compensation: $180k - $240k + meaningful early equity
Location: New York City - Hybrid: 4 days/week onsite
