**Accounting Manager AI-Driven CPG Company Fully Remote**

A privately held, multi-brand consumer products company is hiring an Accounting Manager to join a lean, high-performing finance team at an exciting stage of growth.

The company designs, manufactures, and distributes physical products across DTC, retail, and wholesale channels. Over the past year, the finance function has undergone a major transformation and building a proprietary AI platform that automates AP, AR, reconciliations, and core accounting workflows.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll own day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring transactions are accurate, reconciliations are clean, and processes continue to scale with the business. You’ll also drive historical cleanup, strengthen controls, and help streamline and improve the month-end close process.

The role is fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end close, including journal entries, bank, credit card, inventory and intercompany reconciliations, and GAAP-compliant reporting.
• Own the day-to-day operation of a proprietary AI-powered accounting platform, ensuring AP, AR, reconciliations, and workflows run accurately and efficiently.
• Lead the cleanup and normalization of historical financial records, ensuring accounts are current and audit-ready.
• Train and expand system capabilities, identifying new opportunities for automation and workflow improvements.
• Oversee AP and AR operations, including vendor payments, customer invoicing and collections, credit cards, and royalty/licensing reporting.
• Build and maintain cash flow forecasts, rolling reforecasts, and management reporting to provide leadership with real-time visibility.
• Develop financial controls, approval workflows, and documentation standards across vendor and customer onboarding.
• Support audit and tax preparation while partnering with Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams on cost and margin analysis.

Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3-6 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI and automation in an accounting context; active use of AI tools is a strong plus
• Proficiency with accounting systems
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem solving
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments

Salary: $100,000 – $120,000
