Description Google is hiring a Senior Software Engineer focused on AI/ML and Google Cloud. The role involves building and improving software and machine learning systems at scale.

Experience

• 5 years of experience programming in Python or C++
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture
• 3 years of experience with speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or another ML specialization
• 3 years of experience with ML infrastructure, including model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, or debugging
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field

Responsibilities

• Write and test product or system development code
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews
• Ensure best practices across style guidelines, code checking, accuracy, testability, and efficiency
• Contribute to documentation or educational content and update it based on product or program changes and user feedback
• Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve them
• Analyze sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
• Design and implement solutions in one or more specialized ML areas
• Leverage ML infrastructure
• Demonstrate expertise in a chosen ML field
• Work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs
• Switch teams and projects as business needs evolve
