About the Role

Position: Senior Web Designer

Location: Houston, TX, US — Remote

Employment: Full-time

Experience: 5–7 years of web design experience

The Senior Web Designer will create high-performing, user-centered websites and digital experiences. The role involves working closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Brand, Copywriting, and other teams.

Key responsibilities include:

Designing website layouts, wireframes, prototypes, and digital experiences.

Creating conversion-focused and responsive web experiences.

Conducting/using user research and testing to improve designs.

Creating high-fidelity UI designs and engineering-ready components.

Working with design systems.

Taking projects from ideation through research, information architecture, visual design, delivery, and QA.

Collaborating with product managers, designers, copywriters, and engineers.

Applying accessibility standards and current web-design best practices.

Maintaining a high standard of visual quality and consistency.

Qualifications

5–7 years of professional web design experience.

A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership.

Portfolio should show the impact and outcomes of your work.

Strong UX and UI design knowledge.

Experience designing responsive digital experiences.

Experience working with design systems and prototypes.

Ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to communicate design decisions clearly.

Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.

Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Design teams.

Preferred: Mobile app experience, fintech experience, consumer-product experience, motion design, and front-end development.

Salary & Benefits

For certain locations, the listed estimated base salary ranges are:

NY, CA, WA: $140,000–$190,000

CO: $140,000–$175,000
