Network Automation Engineer – Itential
Location: Remote
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Pay Rate: $70–$75/hour
Overview
Our client is seeking a Network Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience with Itential Automation Platform (IAP) and enterprise network automation.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot network automation workflows using Itential IAP .
- Automate network provisioning, configuration, migrations, and operational processes.
- Build and maintain integrations using REST APIs and external systems.
- Support and troubleshoot automation workflows in production environments.
- Automate Cisco network infrastructure, including Cisco Nexus .
- Develop automation scripts using Python, JavaScript, and/or Shell .
- Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams on automation initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of network engineering/automation experience.
- Strong hands-on Itential IAP experience.
- Experience with Python and/or JavaScript .
- Strong Cisco networking background, particularly Nexus .
- Experience with REST APIs and network automation .
- Knowledge of BGP, VXLAN, SDN, and routing/switching .
- Experience troubleshooting enterprise production environments.
Preferred: Cisco NSO, DCNM, VTS, Ansible, Linux, MongoDB, Docker/Kubernetes, and CCNA.
