Remote Accounting, AI Trainer

About the Opportunity

We are looking for experienced accounting professionals to participate in a 12-week contract engagement focused on improving AI technology. Contributors will use their accounting knowledge and professional judgment to assess how well AI systems understand and respond to real-world accounting topics.

The work will involve reviewing AI-generated content, identifying inaccuracies, providing expert feedback, and creating realistic accounting scenarios that can be used to test and strengthen AI models. Contributors may develop detailed prompts, supporting documents, and evaluation criteria based on situations they have encountered throughout their careers.

This opportunity is designed for accounting professionals who want to apply their expertise in a different setting. This is not a traditional accounting position and does not involve managing clients, preparing monthly closes, or performing routine accounting operations. The engagement is fully remote and offers a flexible, independent work environment.

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate AI-generated answers to accounting, tax, financial reporting, and related questions.
• Determine whether AI responses are accurate, complete, logical, and appropriate for a professional audience.
• Provide written feedback and corrections when AI-generated content contains errors or misleading information.
• Compare and rank different AI responses based on established evaluation criteria.
• Develop high-quality examples of accounting questions and answers to help improve AI performance.
• Create realistic, complex accounting scenarios based on your professional experience.
• Build supporting materials and detailed scoring guidelines to assess how effectively AI handles those scenarios.
• Test and refine your submissions based on feedback from other subject matter experts.
• Follow established project guidelines, submission requirements, and quality standards.
• Consistently produce accurate, thorough work throughout the engagement.

What We’re Looking For

• Professional experience in accounting, audit, tax, financial reporting, corporate finance, public accounting, advisory, or a related field.
• Strong practical knowledge of accounting principles and real-world accounting processes.
• CPA certification is a plus but not required; demonstrated expertise and hands-on experience are more important.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical accounting concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and critical-thinking skills.
• Comfortable reviewing information carefully, identifying errors, and explaining why something is incorrect.
• Able to work independently and manage your time effectively in a fully remote environment.
• Current or recent hands-on accounting experience is preferred. Candidates whose experience has been exclusively managerial may not be the best fit.
• Comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions based on quality reviews.
• Basic technical proficiency, including familiarity with Google Workspace, Excel, browser-based tools, file management, and common desktop applications.
• Comfortable working with different file formats and performing basic tasks such as converting spreadsheets, organizing documents, and preparing files for submission.
• Available 30–40 hours per week for 12 weeks.
• Must be based in the United States.
• General familiarity with generative AI, large language models (LLMs), or emerging AI technologies.
