REQUIREMENT FOR APPLICATION SUPPORT / MIDDLEWARE ADMINISTRATOR

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete production lifecycle of business applications , including installation, configuration, deployment, upgrades, monitoring, vulnerability management, and decommissioning.
• Provide L2 Application Support for critical business applications.
• Monitor applications and troubleshoot production issues related to APIs, middleware, message queues, databases, and application integrations .
• Perform application installation, configuration, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Provide hands-on administration and support for OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.
• Support and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, and JFrog Artifactory.
• Administer and troubleshoot middleware technologies including WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss, IBM MQ, and Informatica PowerCenter .
• Support databases including Oracle and MS SQL Server .
• Administer and troubleshoot applications across Linux, AIX, and Windows operating systems.
• Monitor application health, availability, performance, and capacity.
• Troubleshoot application, middleware, API, messaging, and integration failures.
• Participate in application deployments, upgrades, patching, vulnerability remediation, and environment maintenance.
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, Infrastructure, Database, Network, and Security teams to resolve production issues.
• Participate in Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement of operational processes.
• Ensure application stability, performance, availability, and operational reliability.
• Maintain technical documentation, support procedures, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Who Can Apply?

• Candidates with 3+ years of relevant experience , preferably 5–8 years .
• Strong experience in Application Support and Production Operations .
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes in enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, and JFrog Artifactory .
• Hands-on middleware administration experience with WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss, IBM MQ, and Informatica PowerCenter .
• Experience with Oracle, MS SQL Server, Linux/AIX, and Windows .
• Strong production troubleshooting and incident management skills.
• Experience supporting APIs, message queues, middleware, and application integrations.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in critical production environments.

Good to Have

• Python scripting.
• PowerShell.
• Bash / KSH scripting.
• Docker and containerization technologies.
• Monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Splunk, Prometheus, and Elasticsearch .
• Networking fundamentals.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes , including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Experience automating application administration and operational activities.
