Murray Stays is a growing serviced accommodation and short-term rental management company. We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Sales & Marketing Assistant to help grow our direct bookings, develop valuable business partnerships and support the continued growth of our property portfolio.

The Role

This is a varied role combining sales, marketing, relationship management and business development. Your primary goal will be to help generate more bookings and revenue while building long-term relationships with guests, businesses and referral partners.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and converting direct booking enquiries
• Following up previous guests and enquiries to generate repeat bookings
• Building relationships with corporate clients, relocation companies, travel/accommodation partners and other organisations requiring short-term accommodation
• Proactively researching and approaching potential new booking partners
• Managing our social media accounts and creating or overseeing the creation of regular content
• Keeping our website content and property information up to date
• Supporting direct booking and digital marketing campaigns
• Maintaining an organised database/CRM of leads and partners
• Identifying and following up new sales opportunities
• Supporting the search for new property owners and management clients
• Tracking booking, sales and marketing performance

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Confident communicating by phone, email and social media
• Proactive and comfortable approaching new businesses and partners
• Organised with excellent follow-up skills
• Commercially minded and motivated by achieving results
• A strong written and verbal communicator
• Comfortable using social media and online systems
• Able to work independently and take ownership of projects

Previous experience in sales, marketing, business development, hospitality, property, travel or serviced accommodation would be beneficial but is not essential.

What Success Looks Like

You’ll help Murray Stays generate more direct and repeat bookings, establish productive corporate and referral partnerships, grow our online presence and develop new opportunities for the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role and wants to develop their experience across sales, marketing, hospitality and business development within a growing company. We are a small team and as such there is fantastic potential to develop new skills and learn. You must be pro-active and a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mentality. This role will be extremely rewarding for someone looking to drive their own career forward however may not be suitable for a passive candidate who expects to be told exactly what to do each day. Training and support will of course be provided to allow you to succeed in the role.

Pay: £30,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
