Role Description The Forward Deployment Engineer - Applied AI (Claude & Salesforce Certified Network) is a remote, contract role responsible for implementing, integrating, and supporting AI agents and data workflows within client Salesforce and related ecosystems. Day-to-day tasks include configuring and troubleshooting AI-agent deployments, setting up secure connectivity between systems, and ensuring data flows reliably across CRM, content platforms, and other enterprise tools. The role collaborates with consultants, AI engineers, and client stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions, including integrations with Claude, Salesforce, and other cloud services. The engineer monitors system performance, handles incident response, and provides technical support and documentation to keep production environments stable and auditable. This role also contributes to continuous improvement by identifying optimization opportunities and implementing best practices for reliability, security, and scalability.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills, including diagnosing production issues and resolving them with minimal disruption.
• Networking and integration skills, including secure connectivity between cloud services, APIs, Salesforce, and AI platforms.
• Hands-on experience with operating systems (Linux/Unix and Windows) for configuration, monitoring, and automation of deployment environments.
• Experience integrating AI systems (Claude or similar LLMs) with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, including data pipelines and workflow automation.
• Familiarity with Salesforce configuration and administration; Salesforce certifications are highly beneficial.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices such as CI/CD, logging, and monitoring.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple client engagements, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in consulting, client-facing engineering, or forward deployment roles is a plus.
