Senior Software Engineer

POSITIONOVERVIEW:
We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer with strong, current C++ expertise and a genuine upskilling mindset. This is not a pure execution role you’ll implement features and fixes in an agile workflow, but you’re also expected to weigh in on architecture, strengthen CI/CD, and act as the first point of technical contact for the KnoDTec team working on this engagement. Candidates should be evaluated primarily on technical depth and judgment, not years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement features and bug fixes in existing software products for customer releases, working within an agile workflow.
• Participate in software architecture decisions — assess whether proposed changes or fixes impact the broader product architecture, rather than just executing tickets.
• Proactively contribute ideas to improve the software and engineering practices, not just deliver assigned tasks.
• Improve CI/CD infrastructure and SDLC automation for the team.
• Act as the first point of contact for technical discussions within the KnoDTec team — unblock developers and testers, clarify technical issues, and help break down work into sub-tasks for efficient execution.

Required Technical Skills.

• C++: Senior-level, hands-on expertise in modern C++. C++20 preferred; C++17 is the minimum acceptable bar. Core language principles (not just syntax) must be strong. The client is planning a future upgrade to C++23, so a demonstrated pattern of continuously upskilling to new standards is essential — this matters more than which specific version the candidate has used most.
• C#: Junior-to-mid level proficiency, ideally with .NET 9 (client is moving toward .NET 10).
• Testing: Solid grounding in test automation principles — unit and integration testing are both mandatory
• Code quality: Working knowledge of clean code principles and demonstrated ability to design and maintain clean software architecture.

Experience with any modern GUI framework — WinUI 3, WPF, or Avalonia
