Senior Software Development Engineer – C# / Azure / AI

Senior Software Development Engineer is required with strong C#, Microsoft Azure, and AI engineering experience to help deliver a major AI transformation for one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the US . Based in New York or Washington, D.C. , you’ll design and build enterprise-grade AI applications, agentic workflows, and scalable Azure platforms, taking solutions from prototype through to secure production deployment.

Salary: $200- 230k + Benefits + Bonus (Primarily Remote role located close to New York or Washington DC) - Must be eligible to work; no H1B transfers

Key skills required for the Senior Software Development Engineer

• 10–15 years’ experience designing and delivering enterprise software.
• Strong hands-on C# / .NET development experience.
• Deep experience building applications on Microsoft Azure , including App Services, Functions, API Management, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Storage. (Experience with multi-cloud like AWS is ideal)
• Production experience building LLM and Generative AI applications , including RAG, tool/function calling, and multi-step workflows .
• Experience with AI agents and orchestration frameworks , ideally LangGraph and Semantic Kernel.
• Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) , vector/hybrid search, and AI evaluation.
• Strong experience with APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and scalable enterprise architecture.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/Bicep, Git, CI/CD, and DevOps .
• Proven technical leadership, architecture, and mentoring experience.

What you’ll do as a Senior Software Development Engineer

• Architect and build enterprise applications using C#, .NET, and Azure .
• Develop production-grade Generative AI and LLM-powered applications for legal and business workflows.
• Build solutions using RAG, enterprise search, intelligent agents, MCP, and orchestration frameworks .
• Lead technical delivery from proof of concept through to production.
• Design scalable APIs, microservices, integrations, and shared platform services.
• Establish engineering standards around testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and AI safety.
• Work closely with AI Platform, Data Engineering, product teams, attorneys, and senior stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical architecture and engineering best practice.
