Our services span WordPress and Shopify development, SEO, and paid social/search advertising (Meta, Google, TikTok Ads). We are growing our development team and are looking for an experienced Senior WordPress & Shopify Developer to join us on-site at our Karachi office.

Role Overview

We are looking for a senior, hands-on developer who can independently design, build, customise, and deploy high-quality websites and e-commerce stores for international clients. The ideal candidate has real production experience across both WordPress and Shopify, is comfortable using modern AI-assisted development tools to speed up build times, and can manage a project from brief to live deployment with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and customise WordPress websites (custom themes, page builders, and plugin-based builds) end to end.
• Build and customise Shopify stores, including theme customisation (Liquid), app integrations, and store setup for UK/US clients.
• Use AI-assisted tools (e.g. AI page builders, AI code generation/copilot tools, AI design-to-code tools) to accelerate page building, content generation, and layout design on both WordPress and Shopify.
• Deploy and launch websites on WordPress hosting environments and Shopify, including domain, DNS, and go-live management.
• Set up and manage staging and live environments; carry out safe, tested deployments.
• Develop and modify custom plugins, snippets, and functionality for WordPress as required by client projects.
• Build responsive, mobile-first, cross-browser-compatible websites and stores.
• Optimise websites for page speed, Core Web Vitals, and technical SEO best practices.
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, CRMs, booking systems, and marketing tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities.
• Manage version control (Git) for development work.
• Liaise directly with UK/US clients and internal teams at eOne Digital to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Maintain clear documentation of builds, changes, and deployment steps.
• Manage multiple concurrent client projects and meet agreed deadlines.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

• Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on, professional experience in WordPress and Shopify development.
• Demonstrable portfolio of live websites and Shopify stores built for real clients, ideally including UK or US clients.
• Experience working within a professional, client-facing agency environment (not freelance-only or personal projects).

WordPress

• Advanced WordPress development: custom themes, child themes, and theme customisation.
• Strong experience with page builders (Elementor, Divi, or similar).
• WooCommerce setup and customisation.
• Custom plugin development and PHP-based customisation.
• WordPress security hardening, backups, and maintenance.

Shopify

• Shopify theme development and customisation using Liquid.
• Shopify app ecosystem, custom sections/blocks, and store configuration.
• Experience migrating stores to Shopify from other platforms (e.g. Wix, WooCommerce).

AI-Assisted Development

• Practical experience using AI tools to build and deploy pages faster (e.g. AI website/page builders, AI code-generation assistants, AI design-to-code tools, Shopify’s built-in AI features).
• Ability to use AI tools responsibly — reviewing, testing, and refining AI-generated code/content before deployment rather than deploying it unchecked.

Core Technical Skills

• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (front-end customisation).
• PHP (WordPress-level proficiency).
• Responsive/mobile-first design principles.
• Cross-browser testing and debugging.
• Website performance optimisation (caching, image optimisation, Core Web Vitals).
• On-page technical SEO fundamentals.
