Client: Health Payer/Plan

Title: Senior Power BI Developer

Location- Remote, open to work EST

Duration: Initially stated 12+ months Long Term Contract (Potential to Extend for Multiple)

Pay Rate: $best market/hr on W2/C2C (as per min expectation)

C2C- only with own corporation, may need some documents at time of submission

Skills Required:

• Design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to support utilization management, care coordination, and payer operations.
• Translate complex healthcare data (claims, authorizations, eligibility, provider, and clinical datasets) into actionable insights.
• Build and optimize data models using star/snowflake schemas to support scalable reporting.
• Develop DAX calculations, measures, and KPIs aligned with UM metrics such as:
• Authorization turnaround times
• Denial rates
• Length of stay (LOS)
• Readmission rates
• Utilization trends by service line
• Integrate data from multiple sources including data warehouses, SQL databases, APIs, and flat files.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders (UM teams, case managers, medical directors) to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
• Perform performance tuning and optimization of Power BI reports and datasets.
• Support ad hoc reporting and analytics requests.
• Maintain documentation for data models, reports, and ETL processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare payer platforms (e.g., Facets, QNXT, HealthEdge).
• Microsoft Power BI certification (e.g., PL-300).
